Its multi-functional spaces are designed to flex and adapt for future growth. Innovation is woven into every aspect of the building from reception to the event space, impressive co//lab conference suite, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces.

The latest hybrid technology solutions for a versatile environment

High-end, flexibility, and simplicity are at the heart of our design. We focused on creating a user-friendly whole-building audio-visual technology solution to deliver a digitally rich experience throughout.

Our technology solution encompassed audio, video, video conferencing, digital signage, meeting room control systems, and the latest 24/7 monitoring support and maintenance solution with AV SOS technical remote support in minutes. 

The co//lab conference suite takes meeting room multi-functionality to another level. The suite can be split into three or two meeting spaces for 16-60 people or one large room for up to 140 individuals. When used to combine two or three rooms, users benefit from a 98” digital display together with two high-end cameras, one to capture the audience and the other following the presenter. The 65” displays installed in each room can be used as repeater displays or show additional content. Ceiling microphones highlight voices and reduces noise for excellent sound quality. All the technology features can be easily selected for different room combinations via a simple user interface on an iPad.

 

This is no ordinary building – the technology solution is equal in its operational efficiency and procured to the level needed for the focus to remain entirely on its users.

The latest audiovisual solutions for a versatile environment

Innovation expands to all aspects of the site’s operation, from reception to its learning and meeting spaces to the breakout and recreational areas. It has invested in the latest interior design and technology in order to facilitate learning creativity and productivity.

The building has many offices for rent, coworking areas, a large multi-purpose café, and events area. Common across all meeting rooms is a consistent, high-quality user experience and standardised control of all technology.

The co//lab is an impressive multi-functional conferencing and training space with retractable wall partitions that make it suited to functions of all types, from multi-day conferences for 140 people to team away days and smaller meetings. The co//lab is a modern hybrid space where its users can seamlessly connect through their preferred apps with their own devices with onsite conferencing technology.

The impact of workplace technology on the BCC and its users.

On the heels of the centre’s first birthday, we sat down with them, to find out more about the impact our workplace technology solution has made on their operation and its users.

Firstly, how did you find the installation process?

“The install was a pretty smooth and quick experience. We were very happy with the pace at which the design and implementation progressed. We appreciated that Visually Connected listened to us about the centre’s needs and function, using this to design and fit smart solutions that benefit the varied roster of clients and events that we now cater for.”

How is BCC finding the technology one year on?

“We generally find the tech easy, streamlined, and straightforward to use. The user experience is pretty consistent across rooms and simple to set up, usually just requiring the press of a few buttons. Everything so far has been fine for meetings and training events; however, we have encountered some minor technical hiccups at other times. In these situations, Visually Connected’s AV team are always on standby and have been quick to jump in and support, meaning that the issues have been solved quickly, and with minimal stress.
Overall, I’m pleased to say that the technology is meeting and exceeding our expectations – we have built a reputation for having a superior mic and sound quality compared to other bookable conference venues in the Southwest!”

Who has been using the Business Cyber Centre?

“Google hosted an educational event on digital skills for local businesses using the whole of the ground floor, from the café through to the co//work area. We’ve been facilitating a lot of educational, networking and training events for SMEs both in the tech sector and other local businesses. One particular highlight so far has been hosting Swindon & Wiltshire Cyber Cluster’s annual CyberICE Conference, which presents attendees with the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in cybersecurity, including threats, solutions, emerging technology, new innovations, best practices and more. As the day was a great success, we will be hosting their next annual CyberICE in June 2024. We are continuing to get busier and busier as more businesses learn about our fantastic venue offering.”

What feedback have you had from your clients?

“We’ve had some lovely feedback. One company recently booked out the whole co//lab conferencing suite for a two-day event and they reported back to the Business Cybre Center team how impressed they were with the conferencing technology, such as ceiling-mounted microphones. Enabling the meeting to be hybrid was vital for them so attendees overseas could call in and the whole experience was wireless! They were so impressed that they now hold the event here every four months.”

Do you have future plans for the Business Cyber Centre?

“We want to see the BCC community continue to grow by reaching out to as many companies as possible. Our objective is to facilitate businesses to be part of a professional community and growing in confidence is important for the success of all enterprises – we would like to help them on that journey!”
