Sussi Murphy - AV support even from the beach,

Based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Sussi and the team work closely with many leading names across the globe and in a range of sectors including corporate, hospitality, leisure, healthcare and local authorities. Close to home they’ve recently completed successful projects for BCC – the Business Cyber Centre in Chippenham, Bristol Airport, Openwork Financial Services and BCS – The Chartered Institute of IT in Swindon.

2023 was a stellar year for the business which has gradually gathered pace since it was established in 2018.

Before setting up Visually Connected Sussi spent over 20 years in industry and her experience has stood her in good stead, to build this business from the ground up.

Originally hailing from Denmark, Sussi’s work in the AV sector has seen her travel the world, working in a number of high-profile roles, delivering complete IT solutions and digital signage. She has worked across all industry disciplines from research and development to manufacturing, exporting, installation and rental services, in a very male-dominated arena.

Sussi, said, “Visually Connected is all about providing AV solutions that work. The aim is to reduce the complexity and use high-end technology with a streamlined approach for ease of use and efficiency.

“We help businesses adopt the right technology so they can collaborate easily wherever work needs to happen.”

“We’ve created a business where we can assist clients wherever we are in the world too. For example, every year we attend a trade show in Barcelona. Pre and post event my team and I have worked from our hotel balconies maintaining clients’ systems at the click of a button rather than having to be on site to physically work on equipment.

“AV is an old-fashioned industry but by using an innovative approach, you can transform an organisation saving time and money as well as your professional image.”

A great example of Visually Connected’s work is the BCC – the UK’s first Business Cyber Centre in Chippenham. Visually Connected delivered a building-wide audio-visual hybrid workspace technology solution to create a digital rich user-centric experience throughout the site.

The technology used encompassed audio, video, video conferencing, digital signage, meeting room control systems, and the latest 24/7 monitoring support and maintenance solution with AV SOS technical remote support in minutes.

Set over three floors, the BCC has flexible spaces to fit a variety of needs including conferencing and events. The building’s co//lab conference suite is designed to take meeting room multi-functionality to another level. The suite can be split into three or two meeting spaces for 16-60 people or one large room for up to 140. When used to combine two or three rooms, users benefit from a 98” digital display together with two high-end cameras, one to capture the audience and the other following the presenter. The 65” displays installed in each room can be used as repeater displays or to show additional content. Ceiling microphones highlight voices and reduce noise for excellent sound quality. All the technology features can be easily selected for different room combinations via a simple user interface on an iPad.

In the entrance of the BCC there are welcome TV screens. The messages on the display can be remotely accessed, changed and timed to come on at particular points during the day. Perfect if you’re hosting one event in the morning and another in the afternoon and want to switch up the message and logos/ images displayed.

It is Visually Connected’s ground-breaking 24/7 AV/IT support and maintenance system which is setting them apart from the competition. Sussi, said, “Our system is the fastest, most comprehensive and secure system on the market. We recently received finalist success at the national AV Magazine Awards. We were up against some huge companies in the ‘Support Technology of the Year’ category. Our customers are our lifeblood, and this was an important category for us to be recognised in. Our entry focused on our 24/7 AV/IT support and maintenance system and rapid remote SOS service. We didn’t take home the award on the night but to be alongside six industry giants was a huge accolade and testament to our work. We are a small professional team but together we are mighty passionate about what we do.”

The team are excited to get started in 2024, with a strong sales pipeline generated from referrals. Sussi, added, “As more and more people are returning to the office, they want to invest in creating an intuitive working environment that inspires productivity and creativity, rather than tech stress, and that’s what’s driving our success.
